Toyota Sienna Alternator Belt

Replaceing a Toyota Sienna Alternator Belt, Regulator belt, Serpintine belt, Air compressor Belt. what ever you want to call it. Make sure the Toyota sienna is not running and is cooled off. After the Toyota Sienna has not been operated in two hours.

First clear out the old belt and any fragments that may be lodged. Then Losen the outboard side 14 mm bolt at the pivot of the Alternator. just losen do not remove.

Losen the 12 mm set screw on the jack screw assembly below the alternator housing.

Losen the 12 mm Jack Screw lowering the alternator (regulator). Slide the New Belt over the Toyota sienna Air compressor pulley and up over the Toyota sienna Alternator Pulley. If there is not enough slack in the New Toyota Sienna Alternator Belt then losen the Jack Screw more until you can slide the belt over all pullleys.

Tighten the Toyota Sienna alternator belt by tightining the Jack Screw. once it is taut like a tiger clear all your tools and debri before cranking the Toyota sienna and letting the alternator belt seat in. Then switch off the Toyota sienna and make sure the  belt is tight to specifications. if so tighten the Set screw.

Re tighten the 14 mm bolt at the pivot of the Alternator.
